Lesson 18

“I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing.”
The idea for today is another step in learning that the thoughts
which give rise to what you see are never neutral or unimportant. It
also emphasizes the idea that minds are joined, which will be given
increasing stress later.
Today’s idea does not refer to what you see as much as to how
you see it. Therefore, the exercises for today will emphasize this
aspect of your perception. The three or four practice periods which
are recommended should be done as follows:
Selecting subjects for the application of the idea randomly, look
at each one long enough to say:
“I am not alone in experiencing the effects of how I see _____.”
Conclude the practice period by repeating the more general
statement:
“I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing.”
A minute or so or even less will be sufficient.

BRITNEY ADDED: Today's idea is another step in learning that our thoughts are neither neutral or unimportant. For our thoughts create effect in our experience.

What we hold in our mind becomes our experience in form, and thus it does NOT effect us alone, for we are doing this together. We are all responsible for how we see it, but all contribute to the whole of our experience here. We are all equal contributors to this dream. We are collectively co-creating our experience, so we not only effect our own experience, but assist in effecting the whole world. So we are not alone in experiencing the effects of our seeing.

Another emphasis for today is that our minds are joined.

Today's idea does not refer to what you see as much as HOW you see it. Therefore, these exercises for today will emphasize this aspect of your perception.
