What Are Our Spiritual Gifts?
and How Can We Use Them?
From the time we are born, we are educated in how to take care of our bodies, how to use our brains, and how to behave. We are educated about the world around us and taught skills to work in the world, but seldom does anyone even mention us. Us . . . we know, the spiritual beings living in the world behind the eyes, observing, energizing, and creating all of this. We are alive! We exist, but we know very little if anything about ourselves as spiritual beings. What are our gifts and skills and how can we use them? Isn’t it time we learned about our essential selves?
We have doctors to fix our bodies when they are broken are sick. When we get stressed or uncomfortable in the world behind the eyes, we don’t know how to deal with it at it’s source, so other Doctors fix our brains with pills for anxiety, depression, insomnia or seeing or hearing things that are not acceptable. Some doctors give us nutritional supplements. They may call our discomfort, chemical imbalances of the brain or nutritional deficiencies of the body. Others try to change our behavior. But, what about us? We aren't our bodies or our brains and there is a lot going on in here, in the world behind the eyes.
We are alive and yet unseen, except when we express ourselves through our bodies. Therefore our bodies, brains and behavior are very important, but they are not what we are. We are not our bodies. So, let's go deeper and explore what we are, our skills, and the gifts we have that are unseen, yet very powerful. If we are unaware of them, we must be using them unconsciously, which could potentially create problems for ourselves.
We are conscious beings that are not limited by the boundaries of the body, but our educational system leaves out any reference to us and how we function. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we learned as children about our awareness, emotions, and energy nature; how they impact our lives and our relationships; and how to use them to our advantage? We are spiritual beings having a human experience, and we need to know how we function to make the best use of our lives.
Researchers have found that we don't notice things that we don't have words for, so, there may be a lot going on in this world behind the eyes that we aren't even aware of. Isn't it time we found out? Perhaps we have hidden powers and abilities that we haven't used. We may be an untapped potential source of energy. After all we run these bodies and brains. Maybe we are capable of much, much, much more than we know.
